Resources to study for the Assessment on Monday

Isosceles Triangles and Equilateral Triangles: NOTES and HOMEWORK
Pythagorean Theorem and Distance Formula: NOTES and HOMEWORK

**Studying for this assessment involves first looking through the work and following it, then doing out every problem without looking at the solution. If you didn't get the solution, repeat the process of looking at the work and then trying the problem without looking at the solution.

Assessment on Friday!

Please look over the NOTES and study for the assessment for Friday.

When you study, make sure you go over why the answer is the way it is. The questions are going to be very similar to the sheet, so you practically have the assessment in your hand! Make me proud.

Best,
Mr. Yoon

Parallel Lines and Perpendicular Lines 11/9/16

Here are the three theorems we talked about. In order to understand these theorems better, try drawing them out.

If two lines are parallel to the same line, then they are parallel to each other
If two lines are perpendicular to the same line, then they are parallel to each other
If one of two parallel lines is perpendicular to the transversal, then the other line is also perpendicular.

Here are the notes from yesterday. Have a nice weekend!

Angles formed by PARALLEL Lines and a Transversal

Good work today, everyone, especially encouraging each other in the process :)

Just a recap: If two PARALLEL lines are cut by a transversal, then...
- corresponding angles are congruent.
- alternate interior angles are congruent
- alternate exterior angles are congruent
- same-side interior angles are supplementary
- same-side exterior angles are supplementary

Here is the slideshow we were looking at, and here is the homework!

Have a good weekend,
Mr. Yoon

Angles Formed By Transversals!

We were a bit distracted today with some weird comments and unfortunate choice of words, but I hope you understood the distinctions between the pairs of angles! Here are the SLIDES that I was going to use on my iPad and here is the HOMEWORK. Please come by to go over the concepts again if you are lost!
